gentle flurries float down with extraordinary grace
looks like God is sending a soothing salve
on to this inflamed earth
...or are they
tiny angel paratroopers?
every day, deliverances
large and small
we need them, each and all

Aw Greg, these words about snow. I LOVE snow and I love winters as along as there is snow at least on the ground and i need one good blizzard a year!
ReplyDeleteThere was a period of three years after my brother died of hypothermia that snow made me very sad. there was talk at the time of the "snow storm" that moved in that night while he was missing. that was 2005. New Years Eve, 2008 there was a beautiful snow and for the first time i noticed I did not get sad when the flakes started to fall. that is when I knew healing had begun! in fact, my enjoyment of that snow was the first post when I started my blog a few months later!
I am going to share this post on facebook for all those who are dreading snow as a possible way to re -imagine snow!
so, i guess this won't be your next song, but it would be a pretty one!!!
